Continued abuse of our services will cause your IP address to be blocked indefinitely. So i bought this game when it came out being a huge fan of their previous games (shadow of the colossus and ico) it was safe to say i was a fanboy. i poured a few hours in it but those few hours were enought to completely frustrate and infuriate me.Īnyhows i recently started playing this again ( apparantly they even patched some stuff) and hearing that there will be a VR experience made me wanna finish it.
62M SERIES ICONIQ GROWTHSAWERSVENTUREBEAT PATCH
after the patch and after me having played trough it here are my thoughts.

Story it's a nice story with plenty of mystique. The problem is that this game makes sure you cannot enjoy the story. Every gameplay mechanic involving trico is a friggin pain in the ass, the mutt never does what you ask it to do. Jumping is even worse you wanna jump to that chain? well you have to be bang on and even then sometimes the boy will just not grab it, adding to this frustration is the damn camera that just won't cooperate in tight spots. Running, what's that you say running is not really used that much, you'll be walking, most of the time carefully and slow. oh and when you jump from a height you don't die if you land on solid ground. no instead you gain a limp which makes you walk EVEN slower for a minute.

there's plenty of you tube films showing how badly this game controls. graphics it looks nice unless you break it: plenty of times has my camera gone inside or under the level, the boy you control does this sometimes too making you reset to last checkpoint which can be 10 minutes earlier. sometimes the boy just falls trough the level at random points. This game has a nice story but it feels like dark souls sometimes but not because it wants to. I loved their previous work but this one is a real stinker. To sum it up: You think the game is good but the mechanics and controls are shit.
